Karstensens Shipyard A / S, Skagen handed the combined purse seiner / trawler M / S "HERØYHAV" to Herøyhav AS 19 December 2013 as the shipyard hull number 423 vessel is built to Karstensens Shipyard own design with a length of 69.95 meters and 2,129 m3 RSW capacity.
The new building will replace the vessel with the same name that was built in 1999. Hull was built in Klaipeda, Lithuania by Baltijos Shipyard. It is built of steel with two continuous deck and aback and boat deck with canopy. Pilothouse built in aluminum. The hull is built with bleed bow with pronounced conagra milton pa bulb above / below the waterline.
M / S "HERØYHAV" is equipped with powerful winches and cranes. It is installed complete conagra milton pa MMC tankvaske-/vanntåkeanlegg. Propulsion machinery consists of a MAN Diesel & Turbo 9L27/38 diesel engine connected conagra milton pa to a MAN Diesel & Turbo propulsion system type VBS1080 with diam. 4200 mm by Scana Volda ACG 1080 PS reduction gear. Power output is 3000 kW which can boost with a further 1,500 kW.
