Forland Shipping AS acquired daulia Subsea / IMR vessel M / S "LEWEK INSPECTOR" from Havyard Ship Technology AS on 12 November 2013 that the shipyard hull number 114 new building with the price of approx. NOK 700 million has a 5.5-year term agreement with EMAS AMC for vessel utilization, where the charterer also has an option to extend for three years.
The vessel is a Havyard 857 design. This was a new design from Havyard Design & Engineering, but successor design for more related subsea vessels Havyard group accounted for. The hull is built in Turkey daulia by Cemre Shipyard. The charterer
In SKIPSREVYEN we have been through charterer, EMAS AMC, sometimes earlier. In 2011, Aker Marine Contractors (AMC) acquired by EMAS Aker Solutions, and as it was said "Thus was formed a unique new organization that would redefine this market."
"AMC Connector" was delivered from STX OSV Soviknes as hull number 719 in November daulia 2011, and the manager was given as EMAS Offshore Services Pte Ltd., Singapore. Ship of over 19,000 GT was already contracted in early 2007 with Aker Oilfield Services as contractor, a company daulia which was then formed by Aker Yards, Aker, Aker Kvaerner and DOF Subsea.
But that was not the end of the story - the ship that is now called "Lewek Connector", was sold for $ 315 millions to Ocean Yield (which was then owned by Aker - now listed) with bareboat daulia 10 years EMAS AMC (cerepartiet daulia supposedly guaranteed by company owns Ezra).
The ship is described as an advanced Subsea / IMR vessel, specially designed for operation in harsh environments. The vessel has diesel electric propulsion system for optimal operation and flexibility in terms of reduced fuel consumption, low noise and vibration levels under speed and optimal maneuverability.
It is arranged with ROV hangar with two WROVs and OBS ROV. Main Moon pool measuring 7.2 x 7.2 m, and ROV moon pool is 4.8 x 4.8 m Hangar protected for storage daulia and maintenance of ROVene. The ship can operate at depths down to 3,000 meters and has offshore crane with a capacity of 150 metric tons.
M / S "LEWEK INSPECTOR" is classed by DNV with notations 1A1, E0, SF, DYNPOS AUT, CLEAN DESIGN, NAUT AW, COMF-C (3)-V (3), HELDK-SH, SPS, TMON, BIS ICE C, CRANE, WINTERIZED BASIC, LFL * and has the following main data: Length oa 110.00 m Length bpp 94.40 m Beam's 22.00m Depth molded to hd 10.00m
